Short version: the prices here are starting figures, your written quote is what actually applies, 30% books the job, and the work is guaranteed for 6 months.
What the prices on this site are
Every figure published here is a starting price, not a quote for your job. Six of the nine — plastering, general repairs, room painting, flooring, carpentry and kitchen fitting — are labour only, and materials such as paint, plaster, boards, flooring, fixings and units are not included. The remaining three — full bathrooms, full kitchens and exterior painting — are priced per job, and the written quote states what the figure covers and what it does not.
The quote is the agreement
Your job is priced in writing before any work starts, and that written price is what applies. If it differs from a figure on this site, the written price wins.
Deposit
30% of the quoted price is payable to book the job. It is the same 30% on every job.
Guarantee
The work carries a 6-month guarantee from the day it is finished. If something fitted or repaired fails inside those 6 months, it is put right at no charge. The guarantee covers the workmanship — not damage caused afterwards, normal wear, or a fault in a material or an appliance supplied by someone else.
What is not taken on
Gas work, and electrical work that requires a certificate, are outside what is offered. If a job needs either, that is said in the first reply rather than partway through the work.
Access and site conditions
Work needs access to the room on the agreed dates, and needs a wall or floor to be dry where the job requires it. Plaster is not skimmed over a surface that is still wet.
Free reads of a job
Sending photos and getting an opinion back costs nothing and commits neither side to anything. It is a read of what can be seen in the photos, not a survey.

These terms are governed by the law of Ireland. Nothing in them limits your rights as a consumer under Irish or EU law.
