Cracks and holes in walls repaired in Carlow
Most cracks in Irish houses are not structural. They are plaster moving with the building — along plasterboard joints, around door frames, across ceilings — and they come back if they are only filled, because the filler moves the same way.
A plaster repair starts at €150, labour only. One crack, one patch or a hole where a fixing came out usually stays close to that. It is the work I lead on.

When a crack is not a plastering job
Some cracks mean something else is moving. A diagonal crack running from the corner of a window or door, one that is wider at one end, or one that has grown noticeably over a few months, can point to movement in the structure. Filling it hides the evidence. If a photo shows that kind of crack, I will tell you so and suggest you have it looked at by an engineer before anyone plasters over it.
Damp is the other one. A patch over a wall that is still wet will fail, so a damp source gets fixed first.
Price and finish
€150 is the start, labour only, materials on top. A repaired patch is a different colour from the wall around it until it is painted, and painting the whole wall is usually what makes it invisible — room painting is from €250, and it costs less booked with the repair than on its own later.
